So there I was at my local NTUC this evening, for the very first time.

Mission: To buy Yakult for a Hong Kong friend.
(In HK, Yakult is only available in ONE flavour- Original.)

So there I was carefully placing package after package into the basket (the total was SEVEN), when the Promoter Auntie said to me in Mandarin, "Wa, you're buying a lot. Thanks! Come, let me treat you to a bottle."

So I got a free bottle of Yakult.

Then I told the Auntie I was buying so much cos I'm bringing them to Hong Kong. (Lest she thought What's-up-with-this-girl. Haha.)

She replied "Oh you have to keep it cold. Wait let me give you this keep-warm-or-keep-cold carrier."

So I got a free vacuum carrier.

So I begin to think, this new neighbourhood that I'm living in truly has so much to offer me.
